Children
Regular swimming supports the physical and psychological development of the child and enhances their coordinative abilities. Through playful interaction children learn the styles Crawl, Backstroke, and Breaststroke in our courses.
In the courses Crab to Polar Bear, the fundamentals are laid out. The subsequent courses Walrus to Dolphin seamlessly follow and deepen the various swimming techniques.
The badge criteria allow us an optimal and homogeneous group division.
Children should not aim to master a swimming style as quickly as possible. Rather, at first it is about removing their fear of water, diving, and depth and showing them different means of movement. At the same time they learn how much they can trust themselves in the water. A natural, joyful relationship with water is foregrounded, without performance pressure, at every level.
Children with higher levels will also skip a course once; children with lower levels should repeat a course once. Ultimately the children are happy when they have more time to develop their skills. Overburdening at a higher level carries the risk that children lose the fun of swimming.
Basic tests Crab – Polar Bear (1 – 7)
The 7 basic tests lay the foundation for being versatile and safe in water and for learning to swim well. The core elements and core movements form the basis for all swimming sports. With the basic tests, a minimum age of 4 years can be started.
Swimming tests Walrus – Shark (1 – 4)
The swimming tests 1 – 8 follow seamlessly from basic test 7 (Polar Bear) and allow children and adolescents to improve the three swimming styles and techniques Breast, Back, and Crawl as well as learn Dolphin. Starts and turns are also practiced.
